WV Adult Immunization Project

The "Take Your Best Shot:  WV Adult Immunization Project" was developed to address the problem of low vaccination rates among adults in West Virginia.  Through this project, lead agencies such as health care facilities, health departments, and other non-profits, implement strategies that will improve and sustain adult immunization rates.  

Adult Immunization Project Phase 1 Lead Agencies: 

  • FamilyCare (Boone, Kanawha, and Putnam Counties)
  • New River Health Association (Fayette County)
  • University of Charleston School of Pharmacy (Kanawha County)
  • West Virginia University School of Pharmacy (Kanawha and Putnam Counties)
  • Lincoln County Primary Care Center (Lincoln County)
  • Putnam County Health Department (Putnam County)

Adult Immunization Project Phase 2 Lead Agencies:

  • Change, Inc. (Brooke and Hancock Counties)
  • Grant County Health Department
  • Mineral County Health Department
  • Ritchie Regional Health Center (Ritchie County)
  • Roane County Family Health Care, Inc.
  • Robert C. Byrd Clinic (Greenbrier County)
